Let me present, in 5 steps, how to quickly model a garden at this real from Google Earth.
The example is simple because the terrain is flat and the house is square.
Step 1 : Display the garden in Google Earth
In Google Earth, fly down close to the location where you want to place your model (looking straight down).

Step 2 : Get current view in SketchUp
In SketchUp, click the Get Current View button to take a snapshot of the terrain that is displayed in Google Earth (the button looks like the Google Earth icon with a yellow arrow pointing right).

Step 3 : Draw the house over the image
If necessary move the axes, draw a square at the good place and use pull tool to make a cube.

Step 4 : Trace the contour of the terrain
With the Line tool, trace the contour of the terrain.

Step 5 : Add some details
Trace the contour of the hedge, pull up and fill in with texture.
Import a tree.
Finally, for a more realistic view, don't display the edges, and activate shadows displaying.

You can use the Place Model button to place this model in Google Earth.
